Familiarize yourself with the topography, bodies of water, settlements and nomenclature of the world — for soon, it will be time to confidently put the Sim-Lite Travel mechanics to work in your first adventure!
Presented as a full-color image in landscape orientation, the world map is rendered at 450 dpi at 36 x 24 inches (914 mm x 610 mm), allowing you to luxuriously zoom in on all the 2D and 3D details incorporated into the map design.
Map Features:
- 16 distinct regions named in their native dialects and conventions
- Crests and heraldry markers for major cities and settlements
- Pictographs for key way points like volcanoes, ruins, keeps and watchtowers
- Custom icons for ports, cities, villages and bodies of water
- 3D rendered topography featuring snow-capped mountains, evergreen and deciduous forests, reedy marshes, windswept deserts and jungle terrain
- Major and minor waterways and coastal landmarks
- Custom compass rose for navigation
- Bar scale in 100 mile increments for gauging distances and plotting journeys
Cross the windswept steppes of Drangia, where the horse lords of the Great Khan rule over a thousand fractured tribes; or brave the haunted fiefs of Old Vestria, where crumbling villas whisper of lost decadence. Navigate the treacherous Serpent's Teeth Isles, where pirates and forgotten relics lurk beneath turquoise waves; or traverse the high alpine mountains of the north and explore the shattered dreams of a hundred lost kingdoms.
Beyond these lands lie extremes — from the scorching dunes of The Red Wastes and the endless jungles of the Southern Continent; to the mystical barrier of The Iron Veil which hides a vast prison that drifts further away from the world every year; to the ever-shifting fog of The Shroud, a grand magical experiment gone horribly wrong.
NOTE: The official hexgrid version of the Broken Empires World Map will be made available as a FREE digital download in the online store later this year.
